After being on display for a little over 5 years, the Star Destroyer model began deform under the weight of the bow. It would seem that the bow's
weight was too much for the existing supports to handle and some of the support pieces had bent up to 1.5° off of their original shape of horizontal
causing the bow to sag towards the floor.
Although this does not seem to be a widespread problem, there
are
numerous reports of the pieces along the spine of the two A-Frames
coming undone or bending - as in my case. The best solution to the problem seems to be to add a third support at the front of the Destroyer to
support the bow's weight. I modified the third stand created by
legotrain,
mostly changing only the pieces that seat the support under the Bottom A-Frame.
