The BastCastle.com HoloNet NewsFeed listed on the right side of many of the pages on the site (such as on the main page) is generated from an RSS-compliant news feed. This news feed can be read by any RSS 2.0 compliant reader by going to the following link:

Some of the RSS readers have the ability to add a news feed incorporated in Internet Explorer (if you use that or a skinning engine, such as MyIE2, to browse the web). Most of these will allow you to right-click on the orange XML button next to the news feed and import it in to your news reader. We do ask that if you connect to this syndicated news feed through a reader that you set the refresh time to no shorter than one hour.

This feature is currently under development and is still in a very early stage, so much so that any ideas and suggestions would be a great help. Currently the idea of allowing a user to enter a UPC/EAN/ISBN bar code to get basically the results shown on the "Search the Inventory" page results is being considered. This would allow developers to pass a bar code to the service and get returned to them the name of the item, maker, group the item belonged to, MSRP cost and current (Secondary) price value, if the item has them. As mentioned earlier, this it just an idea and we are welcome to any others that you may have to expose all the data located in the database that would be useful to other Star Wars websites and applications so please send us some feedback if you have any suggestions.
